In the spirit of the country doctor and community medicine woman; I want to be there for the people in my community. In healing the relationship of patient and practitioner is a partnership. In bringing my practice to homes and community spaces, I hope to build a relationship of trust and respect. Together we can bring you to a state of balance and vibrant health.
Meet the Practitioner
Hello, I’m Danielle.
I’m passionate about nature, dedicated to learning and always ready for adventure! I go for the things that I want and I’m not satisfied unless I’m pursuing a dream. My hobbies revolve around nature and the elements. I’m a sailor, a fire spinner, a gardener, a tree climber, and an amateur mechanic.
Here I am doing some of the things that I love . . . .
Professionally Speaking. . .
I graduated from Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine (SIOM). I received a rich education from phenomenal practitioners. SIOM is eclectic and each professor is a master in different styles of acupuncture. They offer a variety of tools that no other school in the states can match. SIOM provides students with a strong clinical focus, small class size and hands on apprentice style learning. I have been in clinic for the past three years. Treating patients in our school clinic as well as in community externships. I feel confident that with this education I can choose the best treatment style to fit your individual’s needs. Every person is unique and my treatments match your body and the moment. In healing, the body knows best and as a healer I listen to the body and trust what it is communicating.
My background is in social justice and social work. This work has given me a deep understanding of the mind, emotions and human condition. I loved this work, but I realized that there was something missing. I was not able to help people in the way that I wanted. . .
One of the quickest ways to unity and one of the most basic of human needs is touch. I believe touch is vital in healing. This was why I decided to practice acupuncture and body work. The relationship between practitioner and patient is one of equals. Touch promotes this by eliminating social and physical distance, putting the qi of the practitioner in direct connection with the qi of the patient. Touch is my most powerful tool for healing. It allows me to gather information from the body and makes my treatments more individual and effective. I am in love with Chinese Medicine for giving me the tools to carry out my purpose. I’ve found my place. I feel blessed and honored to call these islands my home and to offer my skills and my heart to this community.
